Linda has been involved with Doberman Pinschers for 30 years, and German Pinschers for 13 years, breeding under the prefix "Dabney". Her first show dog, the record setting fawn, Ch Amulet’s Luka of Sno-Glenn CD is found in the pedigrees of many of today’s top winners and producers, and is the grandsire of the top Working dog of all time, Ch Brunswig’s Cryptonite. Her Dobermans have set many records in the breed, winning over 75 Bests in Show and 80 Specialties in two countries including National and Regional Specialties, Grand Prize Futurities, and WD and WB at the National. She is the only person with three DPCA Top Twenty Conformation event winners. She has bred an OTCH, and both a DPCA Top Twenty Conformation and Top 20 Obedience winner. Her dogs have sired several National Specialty, Top Twenty, and BIS winners. She has shown her own Dobermans and German Pinschers to number one status and was nominated for Best Owner Handler by Dogs in Review. Her German Pinschers have won four National Specialties, BOB at Westminster and Eukanuba, and have been ranked number one for five consecutive years. The most recent dog she showed was Am/Can Grand Ch Dabney’s Phenomenon CD RA NA NAJ CGC ROM/Can RN, the number one Doberman all systems, number 2 Working Dog, winner of 45 BIS in two countries, a DPCA Top 20 Conformation winner and DPCA’s number one Doberman for three years. “Agador” won BIS at some of the largest shows in the USA, holds the record for most Specialty Bests in Show, and has sired 31 Champions to date. “Agador” was Breeder, Owner handled to all of his titles.
Linda’s involvement in dogs goes beyond the show ring. She has served on the Board of Directors of the DPCA and is a member of several All Breed Clubs. She gives Doberman and German Pinscher seminars. She has written "Dobermans in Detail: A commentary on the Doberman Pinscher Standard" and “The German Pinscher Illustrated”. Linda is always happy to discuss these breeds or dogs in general.
She is approved to judge the Working Group, several Hounds, and Best in Show. Some highlights have included judging Intersex at the Doberman Pinscher National, a Doberman Specialty in Australia, the DPCA and RRCUS Top Twenty Conformation events, the German Pinscher National Specialty, and the Eukanuba Classic. She resides in CT with her husband John, two Dobermans, and two German Pinschers. Linda considers it an honor to be selected to judge the Pre National and is looking forward to seeing Brazil’s most beautiful Dobermans.
